Francine Bartlett founded Excel Physical Therapy in 2006 and quickly developed a partnership with Maria Lofgren based on their common vision of creating a physical therapy practice centered on quality patient care and excellence. Hence the name, Excel. Francine started in a small, shared space inside a fitness studio. They now have 2600 square feet of open space with beautiful natural light and three private treatment rooms. Excel has grown to house six full time therapists and three part time therapists, as well a specialized group of support staff, including a Licensed Athletic Trainer, Pilates instructor and Licensed Massage Therapist. They have also added a South location inside Wright Training, which offers full time PT services.

Excel has become so successful, because for the past 10 years, Maria and Francine have worked together to create a strong and progressive physical therapy practice by balancing each other’s strengths and weaknesses, respecting one another’s opinions and striving to reach their combined professional goals, as well as supporting each other’s individual goals. But most of all they have consistently valued quality patient care. Both Maria and Francine are proud of the clinic they created and agree that one of their favorite parts of Excel is the people they work with and the positive environment they work in.

At Excel, patients have full hour-long or 45 minute appointments working one-on-one with a Licensed Therapist. In addition, Excel offers a clean, modern clinic with innovative equipment and a positive healing environment. Excel’s staff and therapists do more than physical rehab to help their patients go through the rehab process. In collaboration with Medicine Wheel Wellness, patients also have access to nutritional and emotional health, group fitness and rehab classes as well as cash pay physical therapy sessions for those without insurance.
Looking forward to the next 10 years, Maria and Francine will continue to provide quality patient care to the community and they urge everyone to seek care and be proactive with their health as a method of illness and injury prevention.
